Delicious Fall Recipes

Looking for a delicious recipe to impress your friends and family? Welcome fall and enjoy the wonderful produce of the season by making our crowd-pleasing apple crisp or sweet potato pie!

Apple Crisp Recipe submitted by Roger Brow:

To make this all time favorite recipe you need the following ingredients:

4 cups sliced, pared, tart apples
Dash of Salt
¼ cup orange juice or lemon juice
½ cup butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
¾ cup all-purpose flour
½ tsp. cinnamon
¼ tsp nutmeg

Mound apples in buttered 9” pie plate; sprinkle with juice. For Topping: combine sugar, flour, spices, and salt; cut in margarine until mixture is crumbly; then scatter over apples.

Bake at 375° for 45 minutes or until apples are done and topping is crisp and lightly browned. Serves 6.

Sweet Potato Pie submitted by Yvonne Ways:

Ingredients:

3 medium sweet potatoes, peeled & cooked until tender
2 pie shells, unbaked
1 stick butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 can sweetened condensed milk
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon

Mash sweet potatoes, combine all ingredients and mix well. Pour pie mixture into unbaked pie shells and bake 30 to 35 minutes at 350 degrees. Makes 2 pies.
